If Australia signs the treaty to abolish "cluster bombs" & the US doesn't, does that mean we can still.....

conduct operations together with these particular devises or similar in conflict throughout Afghanistan, as I heard that we opposed signing on because we have stockplies and also new weaponary which may be cled as 'cluster', but we could still deploy them in tandem with a non proliferated Allie, such as the US?
