High perfomance real time software?

my friend has an audi s4 race car and im trying to find software that can stream real time statistics for a high performance race car over a wireless adhoc network to a laptop. does anybody know what brands make software like this? i know in an episode of top gear where hammond drives the f1 car, the team had real time software. they were showing something like that. and money is not an object.
