Why do people look at my mp3 player like wtf?

I listen to all kinds of music....and when people listen to my mp3 player, they're like "I never thought YOU'D like THAT song." What can I say, I'm unique...can't listen to the same thing.....Yes, I like Amy Winehouse ((despite her calling Kanye a c*nt))...and I like Cyndi Lauper...and lots of other people that people would not expect me to like....I can find something positive in all types of music....not that I hate you mess, but you know good decent music...Has anyone ever had this happen to them?
