Does anyone know anything about hypotonic kids and/or auditory neuropathy...or choclear implants?

Cochlear implants have been used for years to treat otosclerosis with great success and currently have had success with AN children as well. I know this is a very tough decision to make. Go for the procedure and risk what hearing he still has and feel guilt. Don't go for it and wonder if you made the right decision and feel guilt. All you can do is weigh the benefits against the risks. I've had to make tough medical decisions about my own son. If I were in your shoes, I'd go for the implants. I'd feel more guilt if I could've helped my son but didn't. Chances are, your son will end up talking. And wouldn't that be lovely?
