Is it psychotic to believe in the possibility of hostile alien invasion?

I think it is less likely than the Earth getting smacked by 30 mile diameter asteroid in the next 200 years, but not impossible. I hear the same kind of naysayers now on interstellar flight now that used to spout off that Man will never fly. You're only cracking up if you think it will be happening imminently without any special knowledge to back it up. Special knowledge = you are a comet chaser amateur astronomer and have discovered something in the last three nights that your fellow astronomers have just confirmed. If that's the case, tell us all about it and we'll start digging in. Maybe we can get K to greet them with a bunch of posies. I'll be the guy on the ridge with a scoped 30-06. But, we'll try the posies first.
