“and he was not, God took him”….. What completed Enoch, was it his own efforts?

If Enoch had not been righteous, he would never have been taken (translated) nor changed to a higher state of existence, changed so he could hide himself from sight (translated, but in a different meaning). The grace of God is indispensable, but he's not going to give it to the unrepentant wicked. He can't. It wouldn't be good for us. I'm glad that the Jews, the Muslims, the Catholics, and the Latter-day Saint Christians at least remember that we are supposed to do our best to obey God.
