30 year exp roofer and carpenter severely broke my back. What kind of job,trade or profession can I try to do?

I'm 46 years old and I crushed 2 vertebrae and broke 5 others 7+ months ago. I now have 2 titanium rods in my back. I can walk, but I have to use a cane.I'm on Workman's comp right now. But that will end sometime. I have a 2 year certificate in industrial electronics. Computer systems was my specialty. But that was 27 years ago. Does anyone have any serious suggestions of what I could train for or what sort of degree might give me a chance to carry on with my life so that I can once again support my family?
