What were the subversive activities of jesuits?

Jesuit oath to destroy all 'heretics'-those who donot submit to vatican and catholicism by any means is famous.Jesuits were thrown out of france during napolean era,in the US many including lincoln has said about their subversive activities to instigate civil war and suffragist movment, their connections with free masons was also well known, their intelligentsia behind marxism, nazism, fascism are also said about, many ruthless dictators like hitler, stalin praised their subversive activities...But today they are known as a very 'good and charitable' institution,so what's your opinion/knowledge about them and their history? Catholics need not answer if you have a biased opinion.
